The National Association of County Surveyors (NACS) provides a national voice for County Surveyors. NACS is an affiliate organization of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and was founded on the following principles and objectives:

• Raising the level of service, efficiency and character to both the general public and county governments.
• Involvement in the legislative process when it becomes necessary.
• Fostering the professional growth of its members.
• Participation in national committees dealing with issues such as GPS, GIS, GCDC, public lands, and others.
• Additional conduit for dissemination of information.
  
• Voice in NACo for County Surveyors on federal, state and local issues.

NACS serves as a unified voice on national issues affecting County Surveyors. Diverse challenges will always confront county government. NACS provides County Surveyors with resources to turn these challenges into opportunity and better serve the citizens within each of our counties.

As a member, you will not only receive information pertinent to County Surveyors, but will have an opportunity to contribute information. NACS provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information designed to assist members with their duties and improve service to the public.
